What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of statistical and epidemiological methods for the evaluation of NPS MedicineWise programs. This will include designing and conducting epidemiological projects, drug utilisation surveillance and pharmaco-vigilance reporting. Furthermore, you will develop and apply appropriate pharmaco-epidemiological methods, exploring and analysing the use of medicines and medical tests recorded in PBS, MBS and MedicineInsight datasets.
It’s an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, cross functional team to add value and find out how medicines are prescribed more accurately.

What you will need

  • Masters or PhD in Biostatistics
  • Ability to use SAS and Excel
  • Experience using time series analysis and ARIMA to analyse data
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Australian citizen willing to undergo baseline security check
  • Understanding of Australian health care system
